Por medio de la presente y con mucha pena el d\u00eda de hoy e visto la portada de su peri\u00f3dico con una falta enorme de respeto al Gobernador del Estado de Georgia. Sr. Nathan Neal, a quien usted personifica como Adolfo Hiltler, esto es provocador de parte de un periodista profesional.<\/p>\n

Como hispana que lleva viviendo en el Estado de Georgia casi 20 a\u00f1os y que siempre a respetado su labor como periodista, hoy le pido y le sugiero que se modere el tono de los art\u00edculos que se escribe, ya que as\u00ed no estemos de acuerdo con diferentes partidos pol\u00edticos, debemos ser concientes del impacto en los resultados positivos o negativos al lector, es de su responsabilidad como comunicador dejar sentado un mensaje positivo , en especial en estos tiempos tan dif\u00edciles, de lo contrario el mensaje se convierte en amarillista e incendiario y esto es lo que hoy en d\u00eda debemos evitar.<\/p>\n

La prudencia y educaci\u00f3n es una de las calificaciones de un periodista \u00e9tico y profesional, hay muchas formas de comunicar las diferencias de opini\u00f3n y ser pluralistas hacia la comunidad. NORCROSS, Ga. — El Nuevo Georgia, a Hispanic newspaper, published a doctored picture of Gov. Nathan Deal dressed like Hitler.<\/p>\n

The editor of the newspaper told CBS Atlanta News the idea was to grab people\u2019s attention about what will happen under Deal’s leadership.<\/p>\n

In Spanish, he told CBS Atlanta\u2019s Mike Paluska why the newspaper to chose Hitler.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a way to draw attention to what\u2019s happening. It\u2019s a way to show what the people are thinking. Maybe it\u2019s disrespectful, but we are in a moment when people feel they are being attacked by the system,\u201d said Navarro. \u201cPeople are scared of Deal and fearful. The message is, we have to be aware of what\u2019s going to happen, and we have to be more active in the community. We can\u2019t lower our level of discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n

CBS Atlanta showed the picture to people on the streets of Atlanta. Many were offended.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201dI think it\u2019s terrible — also, about being Jewish, it\u2019s even worse,\u201d said Roland Gurin. \u201cWhy would anyone do anything like that, make him look like Hitler? It\u2019s a total disgrace.\u201d<\/p>\n

One man on the street said the picture doesn\u2019t bother him.<\/p>\n

“No, this is America,\u201d said Jonathan Kester. \u201cWe have a right, the very nature of the point of what\u2019s occurred is a result of this. We are now going to have a dialogue about it and I am going to do my homework to find out what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Navarro said it\u2019s open dialogue he wants to have with Deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo arrive to a point to start discussions, so we all are aware what the conversation is and what we are going to follow and what can we do so we aren\u2019t hurt anymore,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Deal\u2019s spokesman, Brian Robinson, released this statement: \u201cThose who can\u2019t formulate a coherent argument in our society\u2019s marketplace of ideas often resort to childish, even offensive, tactics. This is pathetic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Legislators at the state Capitol also weighed in on the image.<\/p>\n

“I actually think that’s absurd, and almost not worth commenting on,” said Rep. Barbara Sims, District 119.<\/p>\n

“I can’t put myself in the thought process of someone that is that crazy to dream up something like that. It’s just completely repulsive. I can’t believe someone would make that comparison in a statement,” said Rep. Mark Hamilton, District 23.<\/p>\n
